Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire Ltd is a family business that operates bus services and coaches from Lancaster, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding areas. August 2011 will see us reach 20 years in business.
We can provide quotes and ideas for trips around the UK. We have 24, 29, 35, 51, 53, 57 and 65 seat coaches. We also have 70 seat school coaches available.
Work we undertake currently include school trips and residential weeks, football matches, School sports, shopping trips to Manchester/Liverpool etc, trips to the Lake District.

"580. I have used this service for the past 5 years. All I can say is what an amazing service. The drivers are all great. The bus drivers always try their best to collect their passengers even through floods and if delayed by accidents. Many of their passengers have become friends known by name. It's a pleasure to ride on the 580."

"The driver on the L1 service today from the park and ride at 1335 was rude, aggressive and complained when we asked to be dropped at Atkinson’s stop rather than the bus station. As we alighted he said ‘I didn’t want my break anyway’ such a rude man it’s put us off using the service in future. Usually the drivers are brilliant. Not him."

"Friendly considerate drivers. My son was taken ill on the bus to Lancaster on his way to school and had to get off. The driver made sure he was ok and that someone was coming to collect him before continuing his journey. This is the difference that KLCH and the big bus companies. They go the extra mile and kindness is in abundance."

"This morning I travelled on the number 82 bus going to Ripley school from Halton. I was doing a practice journey with a Y6 pupil. The driver was very kind and helpful. The return journey from the bus station at 9.35am was with the same driver. Again he was really helpful. When we disembarked the bus the driver gave the pupil a timetable opened at the page he needed. He made both journeys enjoyable and that really helped to improve the pupil's confidence about travelling to high school. Thank you."

"Driver of P062 LKF at 8.28 Tuesday the 4th of April joining the bay gateway from morecambe road almost crushed me on my motorcycle changing lanes without any indication then proceeded to shout and swear at me asking me to pull over to fight after i made him aware what had happened at the next traffic light. Absolutely shocking behavior from what I suspect is a paid professional driver."
