"We were given a much bigger coach than we ordered which was unnecessary for the very small numbers in our party. The Driver was a lovely man - very professional and handled the large vehicle very well and negotiated the country lanes brilliantly. However, due to the size of the vehicle provided he could not make the last 100 yards to the Brewery and we had to walk down a smaller tarmac road. At the end of the Brewery tour it was very dark with no street lighting and had it not been for our personal phone torches it would have been very difficult to walk up this road. Had we been given the right size vehicle which we had ordered this would not have happened. Overall, we were pleased with the service we had from Barnes albeit the phone call the day before our event saying we had not paid (when we had paid two weeks before) caused us a slight panic and unnecessary time and phone calls to our treasurer."

"Although I don't make the monthly journeys that Barnes provide for us myself the bus always shows up on time and returns people on time with no problems. The only thing that would make the service better would be to pay for the trip once it has been completed rather than 2 weeks in advance."

"I like to use Barnes Coaches because they are dependable - always arriving on time, sociable - the drivers are always well turned out, pleasant and very helpful, and the vehicles are clean, warm and comfortable. We went on a volunteering day last week to Brean Down. There was 50+ in total, but only 25 on the coach. The journey was excellent - leaving and arriving on time. I'm always amazed how the drivers can navigate the tiny roads to National Trust properties. And on the way back.......... when everyone is tired and we had the smoothest of journeys. I would definitely use Barnes Coaches again and recommend them to others."

"Friday 21st - Avebury to Hampton Court Palace The driver was amazing - he got us into London in an hour 40 mins, and back out (on a Friday night!) in 2 hours. He knew when to ignore the satnav and when to follow it which is invaluable! He was smart and friendly, and the coach was clean. His driving was smooth and felt safe."

"Having witnessed one of these coaches being driven on the motorbay I am only glad that there were no passengers on board. The standard of driving was far from professional, undertaking and giving other road users hand signals is not a good look! The driver of vehicle WA13 DWY should not hold a licence as he obviously thinks it gives him the right to break the law and use his size and mass to bully othe road users."

"We booked a 41 seat coach with Barnes for some of our wedding guests as we had a lot of family and friends staying in one particular hotel. The driver was very helpful and even took a slight detour to help a couple of stranded wedding guests, who could not get taxis, on the way back to the hotel. Thank you! The vehicle was comfortable and kept in good condition. I would definitely recommend this company to others."
